I had a heck of a time trying to think of a post for this week and it just came to me on Sunday while cooking dinner.

I save money on pizza sauce by using spaghetti sauce instead.   Making my own is NOT cheaper (unless I were to GROW my own stuff).   My favorite pizza sauce is $2.19/12 oz and happens to be among the cheapest that I can find.   I can get a bottle of Classico Italian Sausage spaghetti sauce for $2.00 on sale and get 2 pizza’s out of the bottle.

And THAT works for me!  Find hundreds of tips at We Are THAT Family!

Great tip! I’ve recently gotten into making homemade pizzas and am still trying to figure out ways to make it even cheaper. I had thought of using spaghetti sauce but wasn’t sure how it would taste. Now that I hear its Ok I’m gonna give it a try :0)

Great tip! I’ve done that, too. Now I generally freeze a small portion of spaghetti sauce when I make my own. I don’t use oregano in my spaghetti sauce, but it gives the sauce a little more “pizza” flavor when I remember to add it!
