Plain Promise, by Beth Wiseman, is the third in a series called Daughters of the Promise.   This is a lovely book about an Amish woman, Sadie, whose husband has passed away.   Her life is turned upside down when a wealthy Englischer named Kade, rents a cottage on her property.   Sadie is inexplicably drawn to him and things are made even more difficult when the Englischer gets sudden custody of his autistic 5-year-old son.   She comes to love the child and the father against all odds.    Can she have the man she loves without losing her faith and the only life she has ever known?

This was a lovely heartwarming story.   I thought the struggles with the characters faith were very realistic.  I also identified with the Englischer’ examination of what is important in his life.   It was an inspiring romance that makes me wish for a simple time.  The characters, big and small, were all lovable.  I would recommend this book to anyone looking for faith-based romance.
