Hello & thanks for visiting Happy Little Homemaker! Last year when I participated I was scattered among 4 different blogs and participated at my old blog Simplicity, Small & Cheap. Since then, I’ve come to the conclusion that I am NOT a frugal blogger. After a year of consolidation and discernment, I’ve decided that my blog will be dedicated to any & all aspects of my blessed vocation of love especially including aspects of my Catholic faith.
These days, things seem to primarily revolve around books. I adore reading and Lil’ Bit (my 2 y.0.) does too. For that matter, the whole family does 
. I like Catholic spiritual reading as well as all sorts of Christian and otherwise clean-ish fiction. I just can’t get into traditional chick lit much. Have a book recommendation or do lots of book reviews? Let me know in the comments!

Thanks for stopping by my blog! The UBP sure is helpful with meeting new people. I have an author recommendation for you–Connie Willis. She writes science fiction (as do I, which I’m sure you figured out when you visited) but I think at least some of her work would appeal to you spritually. Her most acclaimed novel, “The Doomsday Book,” is the story of a young historian who travels back in time to the Black Death at Christmastime. It’s very well written, very literary, and (to some extent) explores the role of faith in the characters lives. (It’s not Christian fiction, but you get the idea.) Connie also has an anthology called “Miracle and Other Christmas Stories” which is full of, you guessed it, science fiction Christmas stories. My favorite is called “Inn,” which is the story of a woman rehearsing for the Christmas pageant at her church on Christmas eve, who lets a young homeless couple into the church to keep warm and learns that they are much more than they seem. I highly recommend her!
